Hickory Flat Masonic Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1997 as a way to honor our deceased members and to show our support for public education in Cherokee County, this scholarship fund was established. Beginning in 1997, the Lodge awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a graduating senior at Sequoyah High School in the Hickory Flat community. In 1998, The Lodge was able to begin awarding 2 $1,000 scholarships. That year we added Cherokee High School in Canton as one of "our schools".  In 2009 the number of $1,000 scholarships was increased to 3 as Creekview High School was added to the list of schools.  As the fund grows, the Lodge hopes to be able to award scholarships to all high schools in Cherokee County.
